What a calculator can and cannot tell you.
Every number this site produces is an estimate built from published rates and the figures you type in. It cannot see your losses brought forward, reliefs you qualify for, residence subtleties, how your ownership is split, or the dozen other facts a real computation needs.
What we promise
That the rates and thresholds behind the tools were verified against primary sources on the date shown, and that when something changes — a Budget, an SRO, a scheme — we update the data file and note it.
What we don’t
That an estimate equals your liability. Before you file, sell, incorporate or restructure on the strength of any number here, put it in front of HMRC’s guidance or a qualified adviser. If a figure here and an official source ever disagree, the official source wins — and we’d be grateful for the correction.
